I was surfing the web on google chrome when suddenly adobe flashed up and told me that it was trying to connect to speed.pointroll.com... does anyone know what this site is? is it good or bad?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

I get an error message when trying to connect to that website.

As a safe bet AVOID it and don't click any links regarding it. Its certainly possible that it is a malicious site that may harm your computer.

I don't see any built in functions for blocking websites in Chrome. You'd have to install an add-on such as WebsiteBlocker, which may be a hassle.


As long as you stay away from it, you shouldn't have any problems. And don't allow it to connect to apps on your computer like it was wanting to. I'm not sure where the popup came from, but the site you were navigating before may have been a problem too. Not sure
