How can I cancel the popup window on my iPad?

The popup blocks my iPad. How to omit it or cancel it?

There is a popup window with message: "Your code has expired. To change the code, enter your actual code first". I cannot close this window, and I don't know what application has displayed it, so I don't know what kind of code should I enter. I tried with all codes and passwords that came to my head but nothing helped. I can swipe between applications using gestures but I cant run them, as the popup is still on top, and the only button I can press is "Next". Pressing Next makes the popup appearing again in less than second 😟

Is there a kind of Program Manger or "Activity Monitor", that I could use to find out what application sends this popup and at least close this app or uninstall it, or enter the code.

From what I quickly read about the OneNote app, it was updated on July 1 and was offered as a free app as part of the update. I think that the fact that you see that progress bar indicates that the app is trying to update. If you could get into your iPad, you might be able to find the app icon and continue or stop the download, but obviously, you cannot get into the device.

If you want to move the photos in the CAMERA ROLL to your computer, you can import them. That might help if you need space on the iPad. Read this for more information on how to do it. This only works for photos in the camera roll.

Start with moving the photos and then maybe freeing up space will change something. I just can't imagine what this code refers to.

Is this a new iPad and if so, where did you purchase it?

Unless the iPad has some sort of developer code on it, it was running some sort of diagnostics from Apple or it was jailbroken, I wouldn't know what it could be. Ann app should not give you a message, unless you are currently using the app itself. The message should only pop up as part of what is going on with the iOS - or so I would think. The only other possibility would be if it were a popup in Safari and you didn't specifically say that it started while using Safari.

Have you tried closing all apps in the recents tray and reboot the iPad? I don't think that it is going to solve the problem, but ....

Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus ➖ sign in the upper left corner of tall of the app icons. Tap the home button.

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Thank you for trying helping me. I bought the iPad about 7 months ago in Apple Store. It was working properly up till today. I've tried to reboot it, but it didn't help. I also closed all recent apps as you sugested (there were almost 50 of them in the tray. Anyway thank you, I didn't know I can close them this way 🙂 ). I managed to close all apps but one: there is OneNote (Microsoft app) that I couldn't close, as it has no ➖ sign, but it had the progress bar at the bottom, like it would like to download or update. I downloaded it about 3 weeks ago and it worked proper - I synced it with my OneNote on PC. I thought for a while that it can be OneNote, that makes that problem, but I entered my Microsoft Office key, and it didn't helped.

As the popup appears immediately after unlocking iPad, it might be related with operating system - but I don't have an idea what kind of code (actual, that expired, and new one) it wants.

The window itself looks like other system popups (like "wake-up" or reminders...).

To be sure that it is not a OneNote that cause problem I even would like to uninstall it, but I can't get to the start screen with apps (because of this popup window) 😟

Is there any trick to ommit this window, or uninstall the app?

(I tried to uninstall OneNote through iTunes on my Mac (I've found such feature), but iTunes said that there is no enough space to synchronize... and I don't know how to move my photos from iPad to laptop to release some space on iPad 😟

Thanks again. The things went a bit forward: I moved pictures to iPhoto, and made 8GB of free space. Then I managed to synchronize iPad with Mac by iTunes. Then I managed to uninstall OneNote in iTunes and after another synchronization OneNote disappeared from "last apps tray", and probaby from the iPad itself as well (I can't verify it on iPad but in iTunes, in Programs tab it vanished.

Unfortunately it didn't helped to the popup window 😟...

I'm considerig to uninstall all 158 applications using iTunes... What do you think of such move?

Will I loose my personal data if I uninstall those apps (for example my spreadsheets if I uninstall Numbers, and so on...)?

Well, I've found it! A month ago my company allowed me to access my business email account through Lotus app. And Lotus has forced me to secure the tablet with the entrance code... (every time I switched on the tablet or opened the lid of the case I had to enter the code to unlock the iPad). This popup forced me to change that code...

Once again: Thank you very much for your help !
