As I was listening to a standard playlist my iPod classic 160gb started scrolling through the playlist in a shuffled order without playing any music. The iPod was hooked to my 2011 Sonata at the time. Thinking it was the car I hooked some headphones to it, played three songs and it started scrolling again. The unit was purchased in March of this year. Any ideas?

I would first recommend resetting the iPod to see if the behavior ceases. See the section labeled How to reset an iPod with a Click Wheel.
