How do I update my airport router?
I downloaded airport utility, but it cannot find my airport extreme and will not let me use the manual setup.

It always seems to be challenge to use a PC to configure an Apple router.
The first thing to check is to insure that you have the right version of AirPort Utility for your AirPort Extreme, so you need to post back with the model number of the AirPort. The model number is on the bottom of the AirPort Extreme and starts with a letter "A" followed by 4 numbers, as in Axxxx.
The Windows Firewall, anti-virus programs and things like Microsoft Security Essentials often block the connection attempt from the PC to the AirPort Extreme, so that may come into play as well.
