Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.

Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

You can go to www.icloud.com. Login with the iTunes credentials that are on that iPad and the use iCloud to track it. This is assuming that the iPad is on and Find my iPad is enabled. Hope this helps!
