Q: Action Movie FX app for my iPHONE 4s

I'm using an app on my iPhone 4s called "Action Movie FX," and I want to import the video files to my MacBook Pro to edit them use them in iMovie. When I email myself the video from the app, my computer says it's a .MOV file, but Quicktime doesn't recognize it and can't play it. Anyone know how I can fix that?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Try playing them in VLC. It can usually play anything. Otherwise, contact the developer.

Would that solve my iMovie problem, though? When I go to import the video, the file isn't even selectable to import.

Do you know what the file format is on the iPhone. If not, perhaps it is a .mov file.
