My screen seems to be dead.

My screen seems to be dead. I can sync my iPod Nano 6th generation but I can't get it to turn on. I have tried to reboot it and also have reset it to factory settings twice to no avail. Any ideas?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.7)
