If you are texting another person and screenshot the conversation, will they know that you screenshotted it?
I've heard this a few times but I don't know if it's true.

iOS 7 hasn't been released, so nobody really knows about that. We'll find out this fall I guess. You can also go to http://www.apple.com/ios/ios7/ to see what features iOS 7 has that is known right now
I've heard it on social networking sites. I've heard people say that it comes with the new iOS 7 update. They've said that when you screenshot a conversation between you and the other person, the other person will know about it.
Thisis for the SnapChat app only. It has ntohing to do with the built-in Messages app.
When using SnapChat, the text message disappears after 10 seconds.
If you take a screenshot of the message before it disappears, SnapChat application will notify the sender you took a screenshot.
iOS 7 does not cancel Active touches (which is how SnapChat knows you took a screenshot).
I just got off the phone with my daughter to ask here about SnapChat, she uses it a lot. It works just like ChrisCA says. This is an active conversation between the two individuals, but it is not texting. She says she heard of the possible change with iOS 7.
You just got the answer quicker than I did Chris, Good job.
They won't know unless you send them the screenshot yourself
Not unless you tell them or send a copy of the screenshot.
I've never heard of this before. Where did you read this?
Oh, and no they wouldn't know.
I think SnapChat does this. I don't have that app, so I'm not sure but there is an app that notifies someone when you screen shot the conversation in that app
For any version of iOS- Simple answer No.
