ipod nano,version 1.0.2 pc, model MD477LL

I just bought an ipod nano,version 1.0.2 pc, model MD477LL, the package says 16GB but I just found out it's in the setting that the capacity is just 14.7 and available is just 14.6, why is it it's not 16GB as what the package says it is.. =(

Partly because of differences in how drive space is calculated: http://www.ussscctv.com/harddrivesizecapacitiescalculator.aspx

And partly due to the OS and installed apps taking space.
