Scan and Fix Ipod

Normally I ignore this, but this time I did "scan and fix" ipod in windows. Now my iPod does not show up in iTunes. It looks like it's treated as a simple external hardrive. Is there any way to fix this?


Best case scenario would be without needing to restore the ipod. I have a lot of music on it that I don't have on itunes, because I don't have the computer anymore that I had most of my music on.


If I do need to restore it, is there any way to save the music?

Sorry to hear your iPod is not being recognized in iTunes. I found an article that has some steps you can take when you are experiencing an issue like this, and these steps do not include a restore of your iPod.
