itunes will not recognise any of my devices, iphone, or ipod touch, can anyone help?

You tried every step in that link? YOu restarted your apple mobile device?
Yes, restarted, rebooted, even tried the msconfig thing...
Suggest that you uninstall and reinstall iTunes. Do this according to the directions in this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
tried that too, nothing changes???
Only other thing that I can recommend is to make an appointment at Apple to have them check out the device. They may have more suggestions.
