Backup to the icloud is estimating 9 hours until completion. Im traveling on business and am taking phone in to apple today, no personal computer to back up on so my only choice is backing up to the cloud. If i purchase more space, will it move faster. Appointment is in 4 hours so Im pressed for time, really need to make sure I can have as much backed up as possible

No. Is this the first time backing up to icloud? IF it is, then it is normal speed when backing up the first time, no way to speed it up.

You just have to let it backup or the restore to complete and be patient. Its got to have time to process

Using the wifi at my work, only other option is to go back to hotel, not sure where to find a really fast hotspot
Plug your iPhone to the computer. And back it up there, selecting "iCloud Back-up" and then "Back-up Now"
The backup should be a lot faster done from the Computer to the iCloud.
There is no other way to make it faster.
OP stated that he doesn't have access to a personal computer to perform the backup, that's why the OP is using icloud to backup.
My issue is that Im not allowed to plug phone into computer, the only computer i have is my work laptop and they are very strict..
Anyone know if going back to hotel and using their wifi is a waste, i dont imagine their speed being any better, or am i wrong in that assumption.
If I buy more memory will that change speed, or is internet connection/data the only factors

2) Completely depends on your internet speed. Leave you phone next to your router for the strongest signal and least whitenoise. Close other applications using the internet to increase bandwidth availability on your phone. That is what you can do on your end. Contact your ISP if you have slow internet.

NO it won't speed up the process.
Purchasing more memory will not change the speed. Going to a hotel using their wi-fi may actually slow you down because their network has a lot of traffic from their guests using it. Basically, there is nothing you can do to change the speed of an iCloud backup except connect to a faster Wi-Fi network.
Are you backing up with a data plan? Can you even do this (I don't own an iPhone)? If you are not using WIFI, then it will be much slower than using WIFI. WIFI is faster than data plan. Memory will not change the network speed.
