e.g. GPGT software is not accepted by MAC. As it was not developed under MAC Standards. I dislike to change my mac to unsafe software. Is there any other way to achieve encrypt mails?

GPG mail is available for OS X though - https://gpgtools.org/gpgmail/index.html
PGP is solid and has been around and used for many years. The encryption is as strong as you want to make. Not an Apple product but I have used it without issue in the past.
Managed to set up my encrypted mail.
