Iphone 4S wont charge and went from 100% too 0% battery in a split second.

I have an Iphone 4S had it for about 10 Months now, only today it went from 100% battery too 0% and in a second and now it will not charge at all. I have read forums etc saying to try resetting my phone and none of this works as i cannot get any charge into my phone through mains or USB. Apparently it seems to be an issue with the new 5.1.1 update? Anyone who can shed any light on the situation or has any helpful tips or things to try?

That is not an iOS 5.1.1 issue, sounds more like a faulty battery issue. Take the iPhone and charger to an Apple store genius bar and have that tested while still under warranty.
