I purchase audio books through Audible.com which is an Amazon company. When I make the purchase through my iPad or iPhone, it appears that the book is downloaded to iCloud. I do not wish to use up my storage in iCloud with already read audiobooks. Once I have listened to a book, I would like to delete it from iCloud. Can I do this? If so, how? Thanks. Mag

When you select a book in the audible app it downloads it to the device. When you select the delete option it just deletes it from the device but not the cloud.
I have the same problem. Audible shows all of my books on the cloud. I went to my iCloud settings and I do not have iCloud turned on for audible. How do I delete audible books I’ve already read?
Can you download and delete them in the app?
First, what makes you think the book is downloaded to icloud? Isn't it downloaded directly from Audible to your device?
If it were stored in icloud, it would be in a backup, assuming you have turned on backups to icloud on your device. When you later delete the book, it will no longer be stored in the latest backup, and older backups are deleted in time.
Settings>icloud>storage & backup>manage storage, click on your device in the Backups section, and in the resulting screen, scroll down the list of apps whose data could be backed up on icloud - find your audible app and turn it off.
