Anyone downloaded Trusteer Rapport from their bank?

I did, OS10.8.2, safari 6.0.1, and the whole episode is bogus, time-wasting frustration. Have to install java, won't run on Chrome, etc. WHen I attempted to actually get some use out of it, the program caused my login on my banking site to fail. When I tried again, same thing. Bank recommended I close my browser and try again. "How exactly is this bank-recommended security software making my life better?" I asked the rep. When I reopened the browser, the software never even kicked in. When I asked my bank how to uninstall it, they had nothing from Trusteer. Trusteer's own website was no help, and besides I'm not a guinea pig for online bankingsecurity software. Get it off my computer, write a scathing review so that I've done my part to dissuade others from making the same mistake, then do my best to forget they ever existed. Trusteer BAD. Carbonite BAD. Devonthink GOOD. SnagIt GOOD. Mtn Lion OK. Apple...well...lifehacker GOOD. CX.com GOOD.

Anyone downloaded Trusteer Rapport from their bank?

Only those who lived to regret it. If your bank requires your Mac to have any protection other that what OS X already includes, find another bank.

OS10.8.2, safari 6.0.1,

Those are out of date, so run Software Update. Doing that periodically will ensure your Mac has the latest security updates from Apple.
