Q: NX5U question

OK how do I copy an recorded SD card to a blank SD card and then be able to play the new newly copied SD card in my NX5U? I copied all of the folders from the original SD card onto a folder on my hard drive then copied the folders from the desktop to the new SD card. When I open with a card reader all the files are there but when I put the new card in the NX5U it says: "There is no image database file. Movies cannot be recorded or played. Create a new file?" I want to keep a copy of my weddings, but I'm shooting with 32g SD cards so I bought some inexpensive 16g SD cards to store the footage with.

OK so Sony actually didn't help. I've tried to format the SD card first and then transfer everything to the new SD card and the NX5U still says "There is no image database....." Formatted the card in the Camera first - nope, formatted in the computer first - nope. No Luck

    Any ideas?

I would think the following would work fro you.

In your Mac, copy (option drag) the entire contents of your card that has content to another empty card that has been formatted in your camera. (I doubt that doing the formatting in Disk Utility will work.)

    Russ,

Well I just solved it. I can only make a complete copy on my older iMac (10.6.8 Snow Leopard). The files I needed were in the AVF_INFO folder. On my new iMac (10.8.4 Mountain Lion) those files show up as invisible (even if I show the hidden folders)
