how can i get rid of 7.28 gb of "other" on my iphone 4s?

Other is app data, contacts, notes, calenders, etc. You can also delete some camera roll files (pictures) or anything else that may take up a lot of space. I recommend doing an iTunes backup first though, just in case you delete something that you want.
