Close all apps in Multitasking (go to Home screen and double-tap Home button - tap and hold app icon and tap minus sign). See if that helps anything, and if it doesn't, restore and set up as new using http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414?viewlocale=en_US Remember not to use a backup because this could be a software issue that coudl be in your backup
