Q: Why is my iPad 3 showing "not enough storage"?

I have upgraded my storage twice but am still getting notifications that there is not enough storage any time I try to update or add an app. I have 25GB total with 15.7 GB available. The app updates are around 280mb so why is it not letting me?

If it's an app update, it's probably talking about not having enough storage on your iPad, not in your iCloud account.  Go to Settings>General>Usage and check how much free space you have.  You may need to delete some thing from your iPad in order to free up enough space.  (Purchasing storage in iCloud does not increase the space on your iPad.)

Some people share an account with multiple devices and need the extra storage to hold all the backups and additional data.

If you recently purchased extra storage by mistake thinking you could use it to add capacity to your iPad, you could ask for a refund by calling the Apple online store (1-800-MYAPPLE in the U.S.).
