iPod touch 5G Battery drain percentage(iBackupBot) resolved!

Hi,

I just wanted to share with you something that I have tested and discovered on my iPod touch 5G about the percentage of the battery with iBackupBot.

Okay, let's get started. Earlier today I had no battery percentage. So I decided to test with VoiceOver and iCloud(iCloud calculate the same as iBackupBot percentage) why the percentage were dropping so quickly when I had that percentage!

So, my battery power was running low. VoiceOver told me that I had 12% battery power left. However, iCloud was saying 2%!

iCloud was right. My iPod turned off a little while after I looked at this.

So technically, iCloud(and iBackupBot) are saying the percentage BEFORE the device shuts off. I am not saying that VoiceOver is wrong, technically it means that the iPods(and maybe the other Apple devices) ''die'' at 10%.

I hope I helped some people that were confused with that!

Just what do you mean by iCloud?

You work also shows that, as I said before, % battery is not that accurate

I went on iCloud.com(using Find my iPhone)

So, if it is not so accurate, it shouldn't drain the power of the battery?

I did not know if you hover the mouse pointer over the battery in FIndMyiPhone you see % battery.

As I said before, the % battery operates in the background and thus does use battery power no mater how inaccurate it is.

It can't really operate in the background, because using iBackupBot is just to modify a backup. I don't think it will change anything.

One use of is to modify files in the iPod backup and then restore the iPod from that backup. That is how you can get % battery to show up on the iPod touch in the upper right

When you modify files in a backup and then restore from backup the iPod operates differently.

Yes, because I change or add a code. It is the same code as the iPhone or the iPad.

Note that the firmwares ars specific to the model and device. iOS 6.1.3 for an iPhone will not install on and is different that IOS 6.1.3 for an iPod.

Also iOS 6.1.3 for the 4G iPod is different than iOS 6.1.3 for the 5G iPod

Oh yeah? I knew about the iPods, but I didn't know there was such a difference between iPods and iPhones!
