Q: iPad Mini Status Bar twice the size

Hi All,

I have had my iPad Mini since the beginning of June 2013. Its running IOS 6.1.3.

I only noticed this morning that on my home screen the black status bar at the top of the screen is twice the normal size

However when I go into the settings screen the size reverts back to normal.

Any help would be appreciated as I have searched the internet for a fix and I can't find any solution.
