I have Keynote purchased under a different AppleID. MAS keeps saying it needs to update - when I try to update it tells me to sign in with the original appleID, which I do. It updates - I launch Keynote, and it is version 5.3, but the MAS still says I need to update it. I've restarted, signed in and out of various Apple ID's in the MAS, and it still says it needs to be updated. Any suggestions?
The MAS can see its apps on mounted partitions and drives. Is there a backup drive (Time Machine?) connected that has the older version of the app?
I did have a 2 year old beta on the drive I use for my TimeMachine - so I deleted it, and even disconnected the TimeMachine - downloaded the update again, under the different AppleID, and Keynote 5.3 did the same thing. Thanks for the suggestion though - any other ideas?
the MAS wouldn't see a beta, that's not a MAS app. Try reindexing your Mac.

well, at least now the updates show in history, but its still doing the same thing after reindexing. would you have any other ideas?
