Why does Fb in Safari open any app in a new tab instead of loading it in the same one? It only started doing that today. Can I change that back? I tried removing all website data, quiting Safari and then relaunching it, but nothing changed.
I don't like it that way, since I already have a couple of tabs open. I use the latest Safari version.

I don't think it's a FB settings ...
Try deleting FB cookies ...
Open Safari > Preferences again then select the Privacy tab.
Click Details
Type Facebook in the search field top right corner of that window then delete anything
facebook related from the results.
Now empty the Safari cache. Command + Option + E on your keyboard
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
With Safari open press Command , (comma) to open Safari > Preferences then select the Tabs tab.
Check your settings there.
It's set to open a link to a new tab by Cmd+click. This only happens with Fb apps. Everything else works fine, so maybe it is a new Fb setting.
Tried it and it didn't work. I also restarted the mac but, still, nothing :/
Apparently it was a Fb issue; it is fixed now – all by itself...
