Missing Edit/Open EXS24 Button/Ability (LPX)

In Logic Pro X, the Edit button in the top right corner of the EXS24 instrument is missing, and if you switch the view to Controls instead of Editor, the second from the top option "Edit: Open" is present, but doesn't work. Help please! Thank you.
