I have an older macbook, OSX 10.5.8, that I use for travel. When in other network locations, mac mail won't connect to the Comcast POP or smpt servers, although Mac mail is able to connect to the internet successfully. I've double checked everything including all the account settings, re-entered my comcast password, done everything short of rebuilding the mailbox. What can possibly be the matter?  My internet works fine in other locations, it's just mac mail. Yes, I can go to the comcast homepage and execute mail from there, but my work folders and junk mail filters and other settings are all on mac mail. I don't want to use the comcast homepage as the primary way to access work related material without my entire work folder schematic that resides on mac mail. Any suggestions? I could not set up a new account, the drop down box says the comcast account already exists and i would have to delete it, lose everything in order to set it up from scratch.
