Just purchased an iphone 4 1 week ago can't get it show up in itunes. It shows up under my computer file.Having the same problem with ipod nano am i missing a pnp driver? I'm really frustrated. Followed all of apples troubleshooting and did not work

Just purchased an iphone 4 1 week ago and it doesn't show up in itunes. When I plug the usb in it shows up as a file under my computer. I am having the same problem with an ipod nano. I have tried all of the troubleshooting techniques that apple suggested. Nothing is working. Am I missing a PnP driver? Please help I am beyond frustrated. Thank you

If you have carefully done all of those steps there's nothing else to do. Your computer isn't compatible with your iPhone.


However, this problem is usually caused either by using a USB hub rather than a USB port directly on the computer, or the AppleMobileDeviceService is not running. But I've assumed that you checked both of these.
