My card keeps declining on Apple even though I know I have money lon it

If the card is a debit card, it is not accepted.

that's not true at all ive purchased loads of music and apps with my debit card.

Up until a year ago or so debit cards were accepted, but users have reported that they are no longer accepted (in the US at least).

I actually just updated my card a month ago through the iTunes store from my credit card to my debit card and have purchased about 120 dollars worth of items. I live in Boise, ID. So, it's not everyone...

OK guys all of you saying debit cards aren't accepted anymore well they have been since at least 2015 because that's when I purchased mine although I am in the UK, I'm having this issue again now only it's a card that until a few days ago was working fine I tried to make an in app purchase and was a few pence short of the price without realising, obviously the payment was declined but it's continued to decline my card ever since so I'm not unable to download new apps or update the ones I have. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Contact iTunes support for assistance. Until the matter is cleared up, you will not be

Go to manage payments check card details make sure you

Enter the code from the back of card.

i did all of this and my card is still being declined

I'm having the same issue, except I had more than enough on my card for the transaction to have gone through just fine. This is a very late response, but did you find a way to fix it?

I get this problem every once in a while, but I can usually figure it out (like I have no money on my card). This time I do have money on my card and it says "billing was declined" which I don't understand why, I checked unpaid purchases and there's nothing unpaid. idk what to do, its getting really annoying.
