Got it to work with Yosemite, thanks.

Also noticed that for the last three days, this doesn't work during the day (Pacific Time). On each of the last three days the activation has started to work at 10pm Pacific Daylight Time, so if anyone has had problems with the activation not working try to do it around this time of the day.

Must have something to do with Apple's UK servers, I'm guessing!

I was finally able to activate my daughter's iPhone 5 after she upgraded to iOS 8 and you reported that activation message were being sent again.

Thanks again for setting up the site and making this so easy (just cut-n-paste from the baseband log, really).

Note: after getting confirmation on your website that the message was sent, it took a good 5-10 minutes for iMessage to actually activate. So have patience everyone trying this. 🙂

I was able to activate my iPhone 6 Plus on Friday. The first time it seemed a bit wonky, not all the replies (in a group message) came through although everyone got my message (I could tell because my iPad and Mac received the missing replies).

I then tried again but this time I removed all the email contacts and only had my phone number as the iphone messages, and that time the activation seemed like it worked fully.

Just activated both my and my wife's new iPhone 6's using smcclay's website tool. Big thanks.

It's a shame that some random guy can implement a working fix for this problem, meanwhile Wind spins its wheels for months upon months with no working solution. It makes me wonder if it's due to sheer incompetence on Wind's part or if they need to do some kind of negotiations with Apple first.

Now if only smcclay can fix Wind's absolutely abysmal data speeds in Calgary, we'd be set.

No...toggle iMessage on and then wait a longer period of time before entering the diagnostic dump commands and then connecting to itunes and syncing. The diagnostic dumps that iTunes is getting are more likely to have the required SMS ack in them.

You can do a dump every 5 minutes if you want. Just do NOT toggle iMessage off and back on as otherwise you have to start all over again. Generally, EVENTUALLY, the ack SMS will arrive. It took about 45 minutes for mine to come back before I was able to successfully get the correct hex string.

If you get any other texts during this period of time make sure you're not copying the hex string out of the incorrect SMS - make sure you are seeking the right number...the others will show in the diagnostic dumps as well.

Hey everyone, new iPhone 6+ Wind customer on iOS 8.0.2 here who ported their number over from Rogers the other day. I have been having no luck with this trick. I've been able to generate the dump a couple of times but every time there was no reference to GSM SMS Point to Point PDU.

I've tried completely resetting my phone, using a different Apple ID, trying without an iCloud account linked, Nothing has created this GMS message. Now sometimes when I try and turn on iMessage I gett an error message saying that "iMessage Activation, an error occured durring activation. Try again.

Has anyone run into this? Can anyone tell me what I may be doing wrong? I can see the outgoing international SMSs in my Wind account report and am post paid.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
