Wind Mobile Activate iMessage / Facetime

Earlier this week I activated 3 phones, without going through any manual steps. I think windmobile, Apple or both did something. I believe you should be able to go through the normal activation process like you would do with any other carrier.

The normal process is not working for me.

Is this similar to what you did? Specifically, did you log out of your AppleID anywhere ...

* I logged out of my AppleID in iMessage, FaceTime, iCloud and iTunes & App store.

* Then turned off iMessage and FaceTime, and then restarted phone.

* After phone restarted (and signed of iTunes & App store again), I turned on iMessage.

Since then, the iMessage is showing "Waiting for activation". Now over 2 hours ago.

But I could not get the manual method to work after trying over 20 times over the past day - the Hex string was never sent.

I'm not sure why neither route is working now.

iMessage and Facetime still work for me after upgrading to iOs9.0.2, but now I can't send basic text messages (SMS) to anyone. MMS wasn't working but I was willing to live with not being able to send pictures but not being able to text anyone who doesn't have an iphone? That's unacceptable. Anyone else having this issue?

iMessage should work fine! I've had a new iphone since (still with wind/freedom) and set it up normally and iMessage just works without having to do weird things to get it to. If yours isn't working I'd suggest bringing it into a store and asking someone there to look at it

YES it does not work, I found my logs but when I input it into the website, it says INVALID DATA can you help smcclay??

If your a wind customer and your MMS doesnt work try adding all the specs from wind mobile site plus the lines below in APN settings:

MMS UA Prof URL: http://www.apple.com/mms/uaprof.rdf

Incorrect. You may not get iMessage and FaceTime to activate on networks in which the iPhone is not supported.

The unlocked status doesn't matter. Wind Mobile is not a supported carrier.

You bet. I'll be posting a Hallelujah if it finally gets fixed.

Let me know what happens, kinda sad however cause wind has introduced nano sims for a while and they still haven't been able to make their network compatible
