I have been trying this for three days straight but can't seem to get the response message back from Apple.  Is anyone else getting this message in their logs:

    1148.447 sms: re-sending segment (retry 2 of max 2)

1148.447 sms: MO SMS Message details:

    1148.447 sms: Destination:          +447537410247

    1148.447 sms: Validity:                    30

    1148.447 sms: Msg Encoding:          0 (7bitGSM)

    1148.447 sms: Body Length:          88

1148.447 sms: We are retrying a message

This is the outbound message being generated. If you are a Pay Before customer with a plan that does not include international SMS, you need to have money in your account to pay it.

I was helping someone who had international messaging working, but still did not get the reply. He used a different Apple ID and then it all worked. I think that's a drastic step, and would try things like signing out of your Apple ID on your phone or changing your Apple ID password before you go and set up a new Apple ID.

Let us know what works for you.

You nailed - I didn't realize that we were on the Pay Before plan so I simply had to Top Up the account and everything worked perfectly after that.

Thanks for your help - sometimes in the midst of things you miss the simplest answers.

    Thank you so much smcclay!

The site worked perfectly, and the instructions were really easy to follow!

Finally, the only thing I could ever complain about in regards to wind is resolved... though such a shame they didn't fix it by now

    Oh well, thanks again!

I have a post pay account.  I know the SMS messages are being sent from my online account page.  I have erased and restored my phone.  Turned off wifi and tried multiple times with either imessage or with facetime as per the instructions mentioned above.  I can not find "GSM SMS ..." text in the log files.

Not sure what else to do

Someone else had a similar problem and had success using a different Apple ID for iMessage. I don't know if I would want to do that. You could try changing the password for your current Apple ID to see if that makes a difference.

You appear to be in Saudi Arabia. The website will only work to activate iMessage for Wind Mobile customers in Canada.

I'm in the same boat as ben7575:

I've followed the steps that smcclay laid out here: http://www.theonlinemac.com/windhelp

(in addition to the helpful tips from Paeon69 and Spent85).

All looks good recording the logs on the iPhone -  but I never see the "Copying Diagnostic Information" in the iTunes window during the sync. Correspondingly, my "CrashReporter" folder is empty.

I'm using a new iphone 5s and an imac with itunes. I've restored the iphone and and restored with my latest backup. It's using iOS 7.1.1. I have a "Pay your way" plan with $80 remaining.

As ben7575 said, any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

It sounds like you are in the wrong Library folder. In the Finder, choose the 'Go' menu and select 'Go to Folder...' and enter '~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter'. This should put you in the right folder.

    Hello..

    I spoke to soon..   Kinda..

I've now ported two more iPhones to my Wind account.

One Worked first try, the second is being a bugger.

My question is about the hex string.  When I search the log file I am finding 3 or 4 of them.

So I've submitted multiple strings, get the message that a silent text was sent to the correct number, but still no activation.

Did I miss something here? Or am I just to tired...

Also to clarify, should Facetime be toggled off until iMessage works?
And should I be using an apple id with it?

    Thanks

    Paul
