    Hello,

This mind sound ignorant, but I am not a techie at all.

My computer can't find the folder to find the logs. I go to :~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/[Device_Name]/Baseband/

My iPhone name is "Israel iPhone", Hence I type ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/[Isra_iPhone]/Baseband/

    And this comes out:

    HELP?!

    Hi Israel,

The issue is arising because [Isra_iPhone] shouldn't be in brackets (it was just marked in brackets to show that you should input the name of your own device). The easiest way to find the logs would be to navigate to ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice, and then double-click the appropriate folder. That way you won't run into any naming issues.

However, I have to caution you that this fix may be broken since the update to iOS 7.1.2 went live. It hasn't been working for me and for a few other people on this forum. Still worth a try, but don't get your hopes up!

Sadly, no. I've tried all the suggestions, waited longer, even reverted back to iOS 7.1.1 and still nothing.

It appears to only be new activations that don't work, and doesn't seem to be dependant on iOS version. My wife's phone is on 7.1.2 and iMessage still works from an earlier activation. My phone on the other hand won't activate even after downgrading to 7.1.1.

Been trying to activate all evening - responses from the Apple server are simply not being logged.

Grrrrr..  Wind, c'mon, seriously?  FIX THIS.

7.1.1, new iPhone 5C, been on Wind a few months now but never got around to trying to activate after learning of the issues and now it seems I missed the July 27th "magic date" issue.

I tweeted to Wind Cares on twitter with more or less "Why is the this issue not fixed, we don't buy the "we are not aware of any issues" claims anymore".   I don't expect much of a response, but I find it really hard to believe someone isn't aware of the issue.

Ofcourse they are aware, I am seriously considering a move to Fido if Wind continues to block us from using Apple's key services without providing a prompt solution.

    Good morning,

I am writing to ask if someone could please help me with the imessage activation of my daughter's phone. We bought for her an iphone 4 with a Speakout Wireless simcard, which also doesn't support shortcodes. The phone is jailbroken and I tried editing the carrier bundle without success. I am not familiar with developer's tools and also don't have an old phone to connect to my computer and send the sms to her iphone. Could someone please help me in anyway? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Having the same problem. Baseband logs show the activation message going out to +447537410257 but no response. :-/

Earlier posts seem to indicate that this isn't working since iOS 7.1.2.

I'm pretty sure it's date specific and not version specific. Even after downgrading to 7.1.1 it still doesn't work for me, and phones previously activated still work on 7.1.2.

Absolutely they're aware. The responses I got from @WIND_Cares re activating iMessage...

Hi Peter, we don't currently support that application. Some customers are being able to use their email address to activate. ~MA

Talk, Text and Data do work on the sytem. We don't guarantee any apps for any manufacturer. ~MA

And they justify their position by quoting this from their help pages...

"Although the iPhone is not supported by WIND’s technical support team..."

They probably need a business agreement with Apple in order to get it working officially.
