i follow instruction steps on www.theonlinemac.com/wind, and i can't find the hex numbers in logs, then i follow your suggestion and now i see hex numbers but the sender is WIND  so thus, it is an invalid HEX when i try to active it,

any suggestion how to obtain corrective HEX numbers?  -ios 8 , iPhone 6 plus

    thank you

So I was finally able to get a hex code from my log (it took about an hour to show up) but when I paste it into the site and it says it's sending off a silent sms to my number but nothing happens after. my iMessage still reads waiting for activation. Is there anyone able to take a look at my log to see if I'm doing something wrong or has anyone else run into this?

EDIT: My iMessage just changed to read Activation unsuccessful, Turn in iMessage to try again...... Anyone seen this?

Simple fix: IT WORKED FOR ME!

Although the iPhone is not supported by WIND’s technical support team, below you will find the steps necessary to enable select features on compatible iPhone 5/5c/5s.

Important: Please make sure your iPhone is connected to a Wi-Fi network or a computer with iTunes.

    Data:

Step 1: Open the Settings App
Step 2: Tap Cellular followed by Cellular Data Network
Step 3: Under the Cellular Data heading enter the following information:

    APN: internet.windmobile.ca
    All Other Fields: leave blank

    Picture messaging (MMS):

Step 1: Open the Settings App
Step 2: Tap Cellular followed by Cellular Data Network.
Step 3: Under the MMS heading enter the following information:

    APN: MMS.windmobile.ca
    MMSC: http://mms.windmobile.ca
    Proxy: 74.115.197.70:8080
    All Other Fields: leave blank

    FaceTime:

Step 1: Open the Settings App
    Step 2: Tap FaceTime
Step 3: Ensure “You can be reached by FaceTime at (appleID)” is selected.

    iMessage:

Step 1: Open the Settings App
    Step 2: Tap Messages
Step 3: Tap Send & Receive
Step 4: Confirm the following is selected: “You can be reached by iMessage at (appleID)”

Please note, at this time the use of FaceTime and iMessage on WIND network compatible iPhones does not support phone number-based access and therefore certain Apple-developed applications will only function using an Apple ID. This is a known issue, requiring further investigation by Apple.

so it seems I'm getting the iMessage activation text but instead of letting me paste it into the site my phone automatically gets the code but it's glitchy. My iMessage settings keep changing to unsuccessful activation as soon as the GMS point to point show up in my logs

It's generaly fine if you don't see the message, but sync twice.

okay quick question. I did this on my iPhone 5C and it worked flawless however i just upgraded my phone to a 5S and it has the same sim card. would i need to do this again? because my phone won't activate and when i sign into my apple id my number is ghosted. So how do i get my iMessages working on my 5S, it has the same sim card that was in my 5C.

    Thanks again

HI Have you found anyone to help in Vancouver? If you have could you let me know so I can get some help as well? My wife just switched to Wind, and we'd love to get this sorted out. Thanks!

I had to change my AppleID password (too old) but I didn't realize that the iOS messages must have tried to reauthorize me and failed under the Wind Mobile issue.

I was trying to redo the steps but it kept just signing back into Messages using my Apple ID. I had to sign out of my Messages and FaceTime so it wouldn't use my email to verify. I also seemed to have problems getting a point to point message under Message activation so I resorted to activating under FaceTime, which did show a PDU point to point message in the baseband log.

After that it was simply a copy paste job to smcclay's awesome website.

Following the activation I signed back into Messages with my AppleID and same with FaceTime, and then turned off logging.

I am almost 100% sure that I follow all the instructions on http://www.theonlinemac.com/windhelp, but then when it comes around to syncing my iphone I cant seem to find the file when I manually search it in 'my computer'. I've tried typing it all sorts of ways and it just says 'no items match your search'. And yes I do have hidden files, etc unchecked.

Please please please help me out, otherwise I will have to be forced to change to Fido.

if you're on mac go to finder, once you're on finder go to the "Go" tab and click on "Go to Folder..." then search "~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/"

you should know what to do from there on
