Migrating Itunes and photos

I thought I migrated my Itunes, photos, and other files to my new macbooc air last night, but cannot find the files. No music is in my Itunes, and no photos are in Iphoto. My email is the only thing I could find. As a novice to the Apple/macbook community, I am still learning as I go. Can someone assist me in location these files? Do I need to do the migration process again? If so, how?
