Shouldn't all patches under Synthesizer->Pads be polyphonic?

Exploring the pre-set patches in LPX, I find many patches listed under Synthesizer=>Pads play only one note at a time - as if set to "Mono" or "Legato".

But the "Classic Brass Pad" ES2 setting is "Poly", so it should play multiple notes at once.

Am I missing something, or is there confusion about the word "Pad" here - mine or someone else's?
