Jul 18, 2013 10:03 PM in response to Eerika85by deggie,Where did you purchase the iPhone, was it new, and did you have to unlock it to work with your cell provider?
Do a spotlight search for the word "Cydia".

Jul 18, 2013 10:04 PM in response to Eerika85by sberman,If you purchased your iPhone 4 as a brand new device in an Apple package, you would know that all is well.
If you got the device second hand, you might check with the original seller.
In any event, the terms of service of this community forbid us from assisting with jailbroken devices.

Mar 11, 2014 3:55 PM in response to sbermanby RobWidd,Hi Frustrated this accusation of jail broken phones seems to be an unhelpful one on threads of this nature - I have the very same problem and mine was purchased from the apple store and is not jail broken.
You'd also note that if he can't activate his phone - as I can't - then he can't get into it to search using spotlight...
I'm still searching and would love some more helpful answers as to why so many are having their phones trashed by Apple updates and failures re service.
So less unfounded accusations and more helpful answers please...
