I have an issue where Twitter and iMessage both deliver the same notification. I can't find the culprit to just allow Twitter ios app to deliver the notification without iMessage giving me a duplicate notification of the exact same thing.
**To be clear, it is not the repeat option. The notifications are not repeating -- I'm getting duplicates of each notification - once from Twitter app, once from iMessage, both at the same time. Help!

This suggestion from someone else worked for me:
"Settings - Notifications - Messages - Show iMessage Alerts From:
Change from Everyone to My Contacts Only
Works because Twitter isn't in your contacts list, therefore you no longer get the double notification."
I've got a better solution! Go to twitter (online - not on phone). Hit Settings, then Mobile, then uncheck the box that says "Text notifications: Tweets from people you've enabled for mobile notifications."
This will allow the twitter app to push tweets to you, but you won't then also receive a text nofication of the same tweet.

I am having this same problem now with the iPhone 6 Plus. It just started about a week ago. These settings are different now . Does anyone have a more updated solution?
