Audio conversions for iTunes
I have wma files that I want to add to my iTunes library. Is the free version of 'Adapter' safe to add mp3/wma files to iTunes?

Adapter seems to get good reviews on MacUpdate:

It uses FFmpeg, which you will have to download and install as well, to do conversions, and FFmpeg has been around a long time and is well proven. You can certainly give it a try. At worst it may just not convert successfully.
Regards.

Note that MP3 files do not need to be converted. They be added "as is" to your iTunes library.
Only your WMA files will require conversion.
Thanx to all. It seems Adapter may be sufficiently reliable. I underdstand the issues surrounding file sharing, but Apple needs to resolve this issue to everyone's satisfaction.

What "issue"?
My issue was adding WMA files to iTunes.

There was no previous mention of file sharing issues. That's was what I was wondering about.
I'm so sorry for not being clear. Someone emailed me a song that's very special to me, but it is in the wma format. I can listen to it, but not put it in my iTunes library.
Okay.
File sharing of songs is illegal.
It's not up to Apple. Someone owns the copyright and they should get paid.
You should purchase the song in the iTunes store (or Amazon, or Walmart or other legal download sites).
