Q: Why is my iCloud not backing up my mail?

I have mail checked on my iphone to be backed up to my iphone - but it is not there - contacts and other items chosen are all in the cloud - but not my mail - how come?

    Are you saying you don't see your iCloud email account on your phone? 

     

    Also, your email isn't backed up on your phone (or in iCloud).  The email account information is part of your backup, but not the actual email.  If you have your iCloud account set up on your Mac and are using Time Machine, it would be part of your computer backup.
