Q: 2013 iMac cant keep a internet connection
My iMac is only 2 1/2 weeks old. Since the beginning my computer loses internet connection about every hour. Sometimes for 1 minute sometimes for 10 minutes. Customer service have no answers for me because they said I need to run a diagnostic when the problem does happen. The thing is everytime I run a diagnostic, the internet will come back on before it is completed. I dont know what to do, this is very annoying. My wifi router is also an Apple brand. All my PCs in the house work with no problem. What could be the issue?

Try the basics first:
Change your router channel number. Most times this works & is all you have to do.
Disconnect & reconnect your modem. unplug it for about 10 seconds. Plug it back in. Do the same for Apple’s routers. Wait for everything to reboot.
System Preferences>Network
Click the Assist Me button.
In the next window that pops up, click the Diagnostic button & do the necessary.

Also, run the Airport Utility app which is located inside the Utilities folder.
