I want all photos to be on my MAC in iphoto but when I add them from the digital card or a folder from windows, they sync to my iphone which I do not want.
Can someone please explain to me how to accomplish this......

If they are being sent to your iPhone with photo stream, open iPhoto and to to iPhoto>Preferences>Photo Stream and uncheck Automatic Upload.

can i add photos to iphoto from digital camera but do not want them to sync to my ipad or iPhone. how can i do this?
