I have a HP w19 running with my Macbook Pro and i'm trying to use it as an external monitor. It works fine when the macbook is opened, but when i close it, it shows ˜input not supported˜. It used to work but I think I may have changed some configs without noticing.

I used to do this, but now it does not work 😟 . It keeps showing input not supported.
Are you certain that your external keyboard or mouse is functioning properly?

Yes! I'm using then right now. The problem is just when i close the macbook and my monitor shows "input not supported", which means some image is coming i guess, otherwise it would show "no signal".
I'm grasping at straws here but I would trash the System Preferences plist:

It will not destroy your MBP.
If no positive result is achieved, a trip to a genius bar may then be the best option.
