I'm having trouble attaching photos on my iPad to an email from my iPad. So then I tried sending the photos to my Mac with Mountain Lion OS so I could send the email from there, but I don't know how to do that either.

On iPhoto (or Aperture) on your Mac,turn on Photo Stream.
Turn on Photo Stream on your iPad (settings>iCloud>Photo Stream
To attach a photo to an email, you can go to Mail, tap the insertion point, and hit add photo/video.
What version of IOS do you have on your iPad? What version of iPhoto on the Mac? you also can ask for assistance on the iPad in the iPad forum
