How do I unsync 2 iPhones?

We share an apple I.d. so every time we add a contact, picture, or app it automatically goes onto the other phone. We still want to share an account but keep pur contacts, pictures, and apps separate. How do we do this?

iPhone 4, iOS 6.1.3

If your mother is getting your iMessages it's because you are both using the same Apple ID for iMessage. To fix it, one of you needs to go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different ID. If you created a new iCloud account on your device, you could do this on your device and use your new iCloud ID for iMessage.

If you are sharing the same ID for FaceTime, you should do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime in order to avoid getting each other's FaceTime calls.
