Unable to achieve screen sharing between my iMac and my MacBook Air. System Preferences Sharing screen says 'Screen sharing is currently being controlled by Remote Managment service'. How do I fix that and return to screen sharing capability?

iMac (27-inch, Late 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)
1. Which computer settings? - and on which computer?
2. Both me (as a specific user) and Administrators are allowed Access.
I just noted that the IP address for my MBA is now 10.0.1.20, instead of 10.0.1.10. After chaning that IP address, screen sharng now works fine.

1. Indeed, Remote Management was checked. I unchecked, then checked Screen Sharing - all seemed well.
2. Went to MacBook Air, restarted, attempted to Connect to Server, but connection failed.
Now what?
PS How did Remote Management get checked in the first place? I've never used that before.

Hi Jim,
Open System Preferences>Sharing, uncheck Remote Managment, & see if Screen Sharing is checked.
No idea how it got checked really.
When you highlight Screen Sharing there, what are he Computer settings?
Did you add you to the Allow Access to window?
