how can you italicize using a keyboard with the Ipad?

Can you italicize when typing on the IPad using your keyboard, or any other means.

Yes!


Type as usual. Then select the text you wish to italicize. You will see options like "Cut", "Copy", "Paste". You may eventually see a right arrow, which you should click until you see an option: "BiU".


You can italicize from there, choosing the "i" option.

As sberman has indicated above, select the word or text that you want to italicize (Click on a word and drag to the end or to the last word in the text you want selected), click on Select All. Once selected, you will see the same bubble that the Select All was showing in. Now it will say Cut/Copy/Paste, and will have a right arror at the end. Click on the right arrow. Then you will see a BIU and Quote Level, click on the "I" and it will italicize your word or text.
