I am going to Europe in a couple weeks, and I was wondering if I will be able to charge my iPod with the wall adaptor and a converter (since their wall outlets are different than ours in the U.S.) without any problems. Will this work?
Ya to clarify Chris's post a bit, if the adapter says it takes a wide range from the low 100's of volts into the lowish-mid 200s of volts (e.g. 100-250, 120-240, etc.) then you have a univeral adapter that will take "world" voltages. In Europe they use 240V. here in the USA we use 120V. Now if for some reason you have an adapter that only lists US voltages (e.g. 120V, 110-130V, etc.) in that case a simple adapter will NOT work and trying to use one will just destroy your charger. In that case you need either a voltage converter to step down the 240V European voltage to 120V USA voltage or just purchase a univeral charger. Patrick
