Faulty iPhone 5, Apple ok'd a replacement under warranty, but then I cracked the screen

Complicated question......I had major issues with my iPhone 5. Took it into an apple store and they tested it and said it was faulty and was covered under warranty. I qualified for a replacement free, but I had to transfer all my photos first on my computer. They gave me 7 days to come back. Well 2 days later, I dropped my phone and the screen cracked. I HAD NOT received my replacement yet. Will they still do the exchange since the phone already had faulty hardware?
