iTunes not working on OSX 10.4.11

iTunes is not working on my iBook G4. It was working just fine until about 2-3 months ago. I usually listen to the radio on this computer but one day it just stopped working. Then I checked to see if I could listen to some of my music but no luck. Do I need to reinstall iTunes? How would I do that? Thanks.

Hello, the last version of iTunes foe Tiger/10.4.11 is v9.2.1...

http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1056

But first...

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.

(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive, & clearing cache files.)

Reboot.

Open Console in Applications>Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.

Try opening iTunes.
