Apple Protection after MBP is stolen

this is complicated problem! my boyfriend got a new MBP for his birthday but it was stolen after three months. the device had Apple CareProtection. what we want to know is, is there any way to use the Protection coverage for the yet new one we are going to purchase? we understand the stolen Mac won't be replaced by the Apple Care Protection Plan but since it was relatively new and the insured device was stolen, we want to apply the remaining coverage to the new one we are going to buy. can anyone help? thanks!

iPad 2, iOS 4.3.3, MBP, Lion 10.7.1

No the AC extended warranty is not transferable from one device to another. If you want the new Mac to have AC you will need to buy it for that specific unit.
